I’ve written quite a bit about converted buses. I’ve shown you all of my favorite ways they’ve been repurposed, all of the most awesome skoolies, and yesterday I even showed you how one group spent their time converting an old bus into a traveling home for the ultimate American road trip.
But, I have been hard-pressed to find firsthand accounts of actually using one of these converted buses. Today that changes.
It is fairly short, but Kirk Deeter shared the story of his most memorable fishing trip he’s ever gone on, and one of the most important things that made the trip so special was the vehicle they used. The group of friends didn’t pile into an old truck or van, nor did they go on a long hike for the most secret spot.
Instead, Kirk and his buddies found a pink “Hindu god-adorned” school bus (and a designated driver) in order to have the perfect fishing trip. It just goes to show that you can accomplish just about any task in any running vehicle, but the memories are usually better when you’re traveling in something truly memorable.
